General Cancellation Penalties for Tour Packages and Trekking Activities

Cancellations in Cases of Force Majeure

The value of the services will not be refunded when the cancellation is due to natural disasters, severe weather conditions, strikes, accidents, protests, or other acts beyond the control of Go MaPi Travel Agency.

Scope of our Service

  • The system shows all the information for each service, but this does not guarantee its availability.
  • Upon creating a reservation, an automatic note is sent indicating that the status will be confirmed, rejected, or modified within a maximum of 48 hours by email.
  • The traveler is responsible for providing a correct email and phone number and for contacting us if they do not receive a response within that timeframe.

Programs and Prices

  • All prices are in US dollars and include taxes for non-resident tourists in Peru.
  • Groups of more than 15 passengers may access discounts. You may contact us for more information.
  • Airplane, train, and bus fares are subject to change and must be confirmed by email.

Reservations, Payments, and Deposits through the Website

  • Only reservations made at least 4 months before the start date of the service are processed. Go MaPi Travel Agency reserves the right to reject requests outside of that timeframe.
  • To confirm the reservation, the following are required:
    • Online reservation form.
    • Prepayment (security deposit) of 40% of the package cost.
    • Copy of a valid passport, DNI, or travel document.
  • Accepted payment methods:
    • Online payment gateway (virtual link).
    • PayPal (payment request to the indicated email).
    • Western Union (shipping details are sent).
  • The balance must be paid 60 days before the trip or, with prior written coordination, upon arrival in Peru.

Tour Packages and Tours

  • Confirmation is sent by email or WhatsApp with the program code or name.
  • Our customer service executive will contact travelers 5 days before their arrival in Peru.
  • The operator will identify the passenger at the meeting point with a passport and reservation code.
  • Services not utilized due to the passenger’s decision are not refundable once the program has begun.

Hotel Policies

Hotel Reservation Confirmation

  • Reservations confirmed by email are guaranteed and must include the hotel code. The confirmation must be sent with the hotel reservation code, if required by the hotel.
  • Breakfast and airport transfer are only included if specified. Otherwise, the price only includes accommodation.
  • Passengers must present their passport with the Andean Migration Card at the hotel and the confirmation code. Without these documents, they will be subject to the IGV tax.

Air, Bus, and Train Tickets (outside of packages)

  • Confirmed reservations are guaranteed.
  • Air tickets are electronic: present passport/DNI and confirmation code.
  • Arrive at the airport/terminal 2 h before (domestic flights) or 3 h (international).
  • Fares are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Once issued, the ticket cannot be transferred or changed to a different airline.
  • Reconfirmation of the schedule one day prior is recommended.

Penalties for Cancellation of Air, Bus, or Train Tickets

  • International flights: subject to airline policies.
  • Domestic flights: non-refundable once confirmed. Changes to the date, flight, or route may generate charges.
  • Bus:
    • Change with > 48 h: only the date can be modified, not the route. Non-refundable.
    • Cancellation < 24 h: no changes or refund.
  • Train:
    • Change with > 7 days: the date (not the route) can be changed at Perú Rail offices with printed tickets. Non-refundable.
    • Cancellation < 24 h: no changes or refund.
  • Tickets are non-transferable.

Air or Land Transportation

Go MaPi Travel Agency is not responsible for damages if the passenger does not show up on time. Promotional fares are subject to penalties for changes.

Travel Documents

Passengers must carry a passport or a valid document in accordance with Peruvian regulations.

Luggage

  • Limit: 20 kg (44 lb) per passenger on flights and land transportation.
  • The passenger is responsible for their luggage unless they have insurance. The use of padlocks and identification is recommended.

Adventure Tours – Treks

  • Include demanding hikes, altitude variations, and changing weather conditions.
  • Not suitable for people with heart or respiratory conditions.
  • Participation implies acceptance of inherent risks and commitment to follow the guide’s instructions.

Adventure Tours (ATVs, mountain bikes, canopy/zipline)

Risk Warnings

  • Uneven terrain, falls, or collisions.
  • Abrupt changes in speed or height.
  • Extreme or unpredictable climates.
  • Considerable physical exertion.

Not recommended for people with heart or respiratory problems, muscle/joint injuries, or extreme fear of heights. The provided protective equipment must be used, and the guide’s instructions must be followed.

Responsibilities and Obligations

  • Liability for services not rendered due to negligence by Go MaPi Travel Agency is limited to the cost of those services, excluding indirect expenses.
  • We act as intermediaries between suppliers and passengers; refunds for force majeure are governed by Peruvian legislation.
  • We are not responsible for natural disasters, severe weather conditions, strikes, protests, or other events beyond our control.
  • If transportation arrives late, lost services will not be refunded or rescheduled.
  • We reserve the right to modify itineraries or programs.
  • Tickets and confirmations will be sent to the email or WhatsApp indicated in the reservation.
  • Services are intangible; if they are not used, no refund will be processed.

Refunds if a part of the package is not completed

  • If an external provider does not render the contracted service, the refund will be made within 30 days of receiving the claim.
  • Cancellations requested by the passenger: the refund is processed within 30 business days, applying the corresponding penalties.
  • No claims are accepted > 60 days after the trip has ended.

Meals

  • Meals on board flights or land transportation depend on the transport company.
  • Some programs include meals indicated in the itinerary (B = breakfast, L = lunch, D = dinner).
  • All other meals are the responsibility of the passenger.

Hotels in Tour Programs

  • Rates are per person and for the specified number of nights.
  • The operator may substitute hotels with others of equal or higher category.
  • Limited number of single and double rooms.
