SACRED VALLEY: CHINCHERO, PISAQ AND OLLANTAYTAMBO
About the Tour
- We’ll begin the experience with pickup from your hotel or the main square between 7:00 and 8:00 am. We’ll head toward the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas, surrounded by Andean landscapes and vibrant culture.
- Our first stop is Pisac, where we’ll explore its impressive Inca archaeological complex, located on a hilltop with perfectly preserved terraces and temples. You’ll then have time to explore Pisac’s famous artisan market, ideal for finding authentic textiles, ceramics, and souvenirs.
- At noon, we’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a tourist restaurant in Urubamba, where you can savor the best of the local cuisine in a cozy setting.
- We’ll continue to Ollantaytambo, an ancient town with Inca canals still in use. Here we’ll visit its imposing fortress, the site of important battles and ceremonies of the ancient Inca Empire.
- Before returning to Cusco, we’ll make one last stop in the charming town of Chinchero, where you’ll appreciate Inca walls, a beautiful colonial plaza, and spectacular views of the Andes Mountains.
- The tour concludes with the return to Cusco. We drop off passengers at their respective hotels or at a central location near the Plaza de Armas between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m.
